CLASSROOM CIRRICULUM:

Math – Bluebonnet Learning

This year, our kindergarten students will use the Bluebonnet Learning Math curriculum, which is aligned with the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS). Through hands-on activities, games, number talks, and problem-solving, students will build a strong foundation in counting, number sense, addition and subtraction, measurement, geometry, data, and mathematical reasoning. We encourage students to explain their thinking and develop confidence as mathematicians.

Science & Social Studies – StemScopes and Studies Weekly

Our Science and Social Studies instruction will be taught using Studies Weekly, a curriculum aligned with the Texas TEKS. Students will explore engaging, age-appropriate topics through hands-on investigations, nonfiction readers, discussions, and interactive activities.

In Science, students will learn about the natural world, weather, plants and animals, forces and motion, and how scientists observe, ask questions, and investigate.

In Social Studies, students will learn about citizenship, communities, maps and geography, important historical figures, holidays, traditions, economics, and how people work together to make our communities better.

Our goal is to provide meaningful, engaging learning experiences that help every child grow academically while developing curiosity, critical thinking, and a love of learning.
