Welcome 

Hello families, welcome to a new school year! My name is Celeste Escamilla also known as Mrs. Escamilla I willl be teaching second grade ELAR and phonics. I am so excited to be your childs teacher. I look forward to getting to know each student and creating a classroom where everyone feels safe, welcomed, respected, and excited to learn. We will be doing alot of reading and writing this year. 

About me 

This will be my second year here at Pettus Elementry teaching second grade. I enjoy working with little kids, they teach me something new everyday. I graduated from Arizona State University and currently a student at Texas A&M Corpus Christi for my masters program. I have two beautiful daughters, and a gaint schnauzer. During my free time my husband and I love to travel across the United States and visit national parks.

Classroom Information 

Students are expected to always bring their backpacks to school, along with their homework folder and binder. Homework is not always given out but when it is, it is expected to bring back to class. Bathroom breaks are given during the mornings and during the day as needed, snacks are allowed but will be eaten during WIN time.
